This page is about Scouting America (our organization on a council and national level and its registration procedures. Please read carefully below and follow the steps listed.
This page is meant specifically for those adults who volunteer to be a Den Leader or accept another Scouting America level position in our pack. This includes the functions listed below where direct interaction with youth members is expected. Other functions, like Treasurer, Overnight Coordinator, or Social Media Manager, do not need Scouting America registration.
If you are in one of the following functions, full registration is mandatory. There may be additional positions that require full registration; please inquire if you have any doubts.

Please follow these three steps to register as an Adult Volunteer.
SYT training is mandatory and should be done by every volunteer of the Pack. This consists of doing an on-line course and it will take about 60-90 minutes. Your SYT training certificate is valid for 1 years, and you will need to do the training again when it expires.
Browse to https://my.scouting.org from a computer or large-screen tablet
Log in to your account (or create an account if you don't already have one).
Once the main page loads, go to your My Training link icon on the right.
Register for, and take the SYT training
The Adult Application registers you as an official volunteer. Among other things, this provides the Pack with liability insurance coverage. The Adult Volunteer function is subject to approval by Scouting America, the Pack, and our Chartering Organization.

All Scouting America-registered adult volunteers for Pack 377 are subject to a CORI check whenever they start any new BSA-related volunteer function, and at other times in accordance with the Spirit of Adventure Council CORI policy.
